Filtration Centrifuge

Gumotex commissioned a horizontal continuous centrifuge designed for washing and dewatering expanded polypropylene (PPE) beads. Centrifuges of this type provide high throughput in liquid-solid separation processes and are widely used in continuous industrial operations.

Implementation:

1. Design & Engineering: The unit is based on a horizontal drum design with a screw conveyor for continuous solids discharge, ensuring consistent washing and dewatering. This setup supports throughput rates up to 15 t/h and reliable process stability.

2. Production & Assembly: Constructed from stainless steel, the centrifuge is equipped with feed, wash, and discharge valves, drive motor, and process sensors. The system is fully optimized for continuous operation, both mechanically and via automation.

Outcome:

Gumotex received a robust and efficient filtration system capable of continuous PPE washing and dewatering. This led to reduced cycle times, improved material quality, and labor savings.
