Rotary Drum Screen

Gumotex, a.s. approached us to implement a solution for efficiently sorting expanded polypropylene beads used as a preform material for automotive components. The main requirement was precise fraction-based sorting under high material throughput.

Implementation:

1. Design & Engineering: A rotary drum screen was selected for its efficiency in size-based separation, using a rotating drum equipped with tailored mesh sizes. This design ensures consistent quality by separating beads into defined fractions.

2. Production & Assembly: The machine was built with a robust design tailored to PPE bead characteristics, with optimised drum angle and rotation speed to ensure accurate and stable sorting.

Outcome:

Gumotex gained a reliable screening system that enhances production efficiency through consistently sorted material ready for molding.
